Wa Ale is a private eco-resort in the Myeik Archipelago, Myanmar, and one of those places that is difficult to compare with anything else. Set on a remote island surrounded by rainforest and beaches, the resort offers a very different take on luxury – completely off-grid, low impact and with the feeling of being somewhere that has remained largely untouched.
We produced the main resort brand film, a separate short film focusing on the Honeymoon Villa, as well as a collection of resort photography, stills and short-form reels for social media. The main film was very much about the experience of being at Wa Ale – the journey, the landscape, the people and the feeling of being completely immersed in the island. We took a cinematic approach, creating a film that was more about the atmosphere and experience of the resort than simply showcasing the property.
Wa Ale is also a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, and the project gave us the opportunity to create a full set of visual content for a truly unique luxury eco-resort.
