Thomas De Cian is a commercial photographer and director specialising in hospitality, lifestyle, and brand photography across Thailand and Southeast Asia. Based in Bangkok for over a decade, he works with luxury hotel groups, international brands, and editorial clients to create visual content that captures atmosphere, character, and the feeling of a place.
Images that capture atmosphere, not just design.
Thomas holds brand-approved photographer status with IHG, Accor Luxury Brands, Marriott, and RHG — a rare accreditation across four of the world’s leading hotel groups. He has produced photo and video campaigns for some of the region’s most recognised properties, including JW Marriott, InterContinental, Banyan Tree, Sofitel, and Kimpton. His editorial work is distributed by Getty Images and NurPhotos, and has been published in international newspapers, magazines, and online media worldwide.
Operating as a boutique production team, every project is handled end to end — from initial creative planning through casting, styling, and on-location production, to post-production and final delivery. The approach is hands-on and collaborative, with a focus on natural light, considered composition, and imagery that reflects how a space actually feels rather than how it looks on a floorplan.
Thomas was born in Italy, studied in Australia, and has called Bangkok home since 2005. Clients range from global hotel groups and luxury fashion houses to NGOs, media organisations, and independent hospitality ventures across the region.
